DTLV at The Market & Bronze Cafe

I am so excited to write about the Downtown area (near Fremont Street) here in Las Vegas!

This is the first of a number of posts that will feature business and things to do either near Fremont Street or in the Fremont East area.

From The Strip this area is easily accessible by bus, cab, Lyft, or Uber.

And if you are visiting during the winter it’s also a nice walk, roughly about 4.5 miles north on Las Vegas Blvd if you start at the intersection of Flamingo & Las Vegas Blvd.

The first place I’m featuring is a combination grocery store & cafe called The Market.

Located on Fremont Street just a block or two east of Las Vegas Blvd across from the El Cortez, it’s a great place to pick up a few snacks or sit down for a meal.

I will just give a warning–The Market does sell alcohol, so I’m categorizing this as ‘Sober-Friendly’ rather than ‘Alcohol-Free’.

Inside The Market is one of two locations of Bronze Cafe, which serves up breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, and some delicious snacks.

(FYI the second location of Bronze Cafe is inside of The Center just a few miles away.)

A few nice things to mention:

  • Later Hours: At the time of this post, they are open
    • Sun – Thur: 8am – 10pm &
    • Fri – Sat: 8am – 11pm
  • Smoothies, Juice, & Coffee: They have a great selection of alcohol-free drinks and can accommodate most dietary needs
  • A menu for folks who eat meat, those who don’t, and those who don’t have any animal products or may have other food needs or allergies.

Also, the manager here, David, was really excited to also make mention of their fresh-squuezed orange juicer–YUM!

David and the head chef, Peter, clearly have a love for the downtown Las Vegas area.

They have a passion for fresh food and a welcoming warmth that comes across the moment you meet them both.

In addition to the dining options, it’s also nice for folks who may be staying downtown to know about this place in case they want to pick up a few essentials to have in their rooms during their visit–or want to venture outside of the casino buffet for a fresh meal.

I look forward to featuring other “Sober-Friendly” places that #DTLV has to offer, and in the meantime, be sure to enjoy The Market and Bronze Cafe and all the lovely alcohol-free and healthy choices they have to offer!
